The Newest Addition to Rockefeller’s Long History of Holiday/Xmas Trees Arrives Photos
After having been cut down two days earlier at Jason Perrin’s home in State College, Pennsylvania the tree arrived at Rockefeller Center on this Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2017. Yup, the 75 foot in height Norway Spruce had been selected to be this year’s Christmas Tree at the unofficial Christmas capital of the world in midtown Manhattan.
Yours truly passed through the area after having spent time photographing the NYC Veteran’s Day Parade. I knew from past years how one needs to get to the area as soon as possible following the tree’s arrival since scaffolding would quickly be set up by workers for the sake of adorning the tree with the many thousands of lights and decorations. Unfortunately for us the tree was yet to be unraveled.
This year’s entertainment filled Rockefeller Tree Lighting Event will take place in less than three weeks on Wednesday, November 19.
Here below is a quick image gallery of photos taken during our walk around the tree itself.
