Paintings from the 19th-Century Neapolitan School brings together a unique group of work rarely shown in New York. Landscapes, seascapes, genre scenes and portraits, dappled with the brilliant light of the southern Italian sun, transport the viewer to the Mediterranean.  This exhibition highlights the wealth of culture and artistic invention from Italy¹s southern regions including Apulia, Basilicata, Sicily, Molise, Abruzzo, Calabria, and Campania.
