Works & Process 30th Anniversary Gala

(NEW YORK, NY – December 16, 2013) – Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its spring 2014 season and the start of its 30th anniversary celebration. Since 1984, the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading creators and performers. Each intimate, 80-minute performance uniquely combines artistic creation and stimulating conversation and takes place in the GuggenheimMuseum’s Frank Lloyd Wright-designed, 285-seat PeterB.LewisTheater, where reserved seating is now offered. A reception for the audience and artists follows most programs. Described by the New York Times as “a popular series devoted to shedding light on the creative process,” Works & Process is produced by founder Mary Sharp Cronson. A preview of the spring 2014 season and past performance highlights can be viewed at youtube.com/worksandprocess.

The Works & Process 30th anniversary gala, chaired by Anne H. Bass; Caroline Cronson; Ben Rodriguez-Cubeñas, Rockefeller Brothers Fund; and Darren Walker, The Ford Foundation, will take place at the Guggenheim on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.

Lead funding is provided by The Peter Jay Sharp Foundation with additional support from The Ford Foundation, The Christian Humann Foundation, Leon Levy Foundation, and Rockefeller Brothers Fund. This program is supported in part by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
