The Borough with the smallest population, Staten Island, has the greatest percentage of participating Early Voters
Over the past week we’ve reported twice on the early voting results per borough – using the daily reported info as provided by the NYC Board of Elections.
Now, on its seventh day, we chose to have a look at the percentages. According to NYC Open Data, borough populations are as follows:
Staten Island: 912,458
Manhattan: 3,123,068
Brooklyn: 4,970,026
Bronx: 2,717,758
Queens: 4,460,101
What we found is that Staten Island, the borough with the smallest population, is the one with the greatest amount of participation.
From that and from the daily reports we’ve then come up with the following chart:
Below, are the daily cumulative percentages of participating early voters per day and per borough. As you can see, each borough has been consistent in their level of participation throughout these seven days.
