Films by Scorsese favorites Michael Powell, Max Ophuls, and Jacques Tourneur are presented alongside noir, horror, comedy, adventure, and lesser-known B pictures by filmmakers such as Joseph H. Lewis, Stanley Kubrick, Jean Renoir, Preston Sturges, and Scorsese himself.
