NYC, September 11 Tribute in Light Photo – Image Gallery

Tribute in Light Photos / Images from years past as cast from the Lower Manhattan area.

As most of you may or may not know, the Tribute in Light will once again be visible this coming September 11, 2013. Each Beam is comprised of 88 refrigerator-sized 7,000-watt xenon searchlights positioned in two 48-foot squares that echo the shape and orientation of the twin towers.

When I was lead inside this lair of lights I looked straight up and the very first thought which entered my mind was:

“No…This is unreal”

…even though the first words out of my mouth were, “OMG!”

The images which show a star formation are the sight(s) within one of the two groupings of beams which made up the Tribute in Lights. 44 lanterns/lamps for each grouping. This would be the center of one of those groupings.
