NYC Mayor, First Lady and Schools Chancellor Welcomes Pre-K Students on First Day of Schooling
NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio visited with students at Mosaic Pre-K Center in Elmhurst, Queens this morning.
Both he, first lady, Chirlane McCray and Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza were there to welcome students to Pre-K on NYC’s first day of in-person schooling.
To see kids ready to get into that school and see their friends and get all the blessings of a Pre-K education – teachers, educators, staff, everyone ready to go. Ready to serve those kids and families. Excited to get back to work the way they know works best. Right there in person with kids. Parents feeling such excitement as well. I talked with a number of parents and the word I heard the most was ‘excited’.
