South Bronx Culture Festival 2023: Mi Cultura Viva en Mí

The South Bronx Culture Festival is an annual event that celebrates the culture and communities of the South Bronx through music, dance, and art. The festival is organized by Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education, a nonprofit organization that provides arts and education programs for children and families in the Bronx.

The theme of the 2023 festival is Mi Cultura Viva en Mí, which means “My Culture Lives in Me”. The festival features women creators from Caribbean and Latin American Diasporas who express their culture and identity through their artistic work. The festival aims to promote healing, self-love, hope, and inclusion for all who identify as women.

The festival will take place from June 2 to June 4, 2023 at Father Gigante Plaza in front of St. Athanasius Church in the Bronx. The festival will offer free outdoor performances by various artists, such as Annette A Aguilar & StringBeans, Batalá New York, BronX BandA with Arturo O’Farrill and Arthur Avilés Typical Theater, and many more. The festival will also have food vendors, hands-on activities, and a bookmobile for the community to enjoy.
