Brookfield Place: Pride Concerts at Portside: Music, Culture, and Celebration on the Waterfront

This June, Brookfield Place invites you to celebrate love, identity, and self-expression at Pride Concerts at Portside, a two-day musical experience bringing vibrant sounds, diverse artists, and waterfront energy to Lower Manhattan. Set against the scenic backdrop of Portside, the venue’s summer oasis on the water, these events shine a spotlight on the power of music to uplift and unite, while amplifying voices from across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 4 and Tuesday, June 25, when both daytime and evening performances will transform Portside into a joyful gathering place. Each day kicks off with a lunchtime DJ set from 12:00 to 1:30 PM, and continues into the evening with live music and curated DJ performances from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

On June 4, Bronx-based DJ P41DZ opens the day, spinning a set infused with Queer AAPI and BIPOC LGBTQIA+ spirit. That evening, experience the boundary-defying music of STEFA*, followed by the electrifying energy of DJ Oscar Nñ, co-founder of the iconic art collective Papi Juice.

On June 25, the spotlight turns to Anito Soul, whose ancestral and nature-based sounds kick off the lunchtime vibe. As the sun sets, powerhouse vocalist J. Hoard, known for Grammy-winning collaborations and genre-bending performances, takes the stage, followed by a set from cultural curator and DJ A D A I R, whose intergenerational sonic blends close out the night.

This year’s Pride Concerts also connect with Filipino culture, tying into Risa Puno’s “Common Picnic: Halo-Halo Edition”, an art installation celebrating community, flavor, and shared identity.
