Circle Line’s Holiday Harbor Lights Cruise Returns to Brighten NYC’s Holiday Season
November 29, 2024 – January 5, 2025
Circle Line, the iconic New York City sightseeing cruise company, is thrilled to announce the return of its popular Holiday Harbor Lights Cruise, set to begin on Friday, November 29, and run through January 5. This annual holiday cruise transforms the vessel into a sparkling wonderland, inviting guests to experience the festive magic of New York City from the water. With a dazzling display of twinkling lights, garlands, Christmas trees, and ornaments, the cruise promises a two-hour journey filled with holiday charm and scenic views of the city’s iconic landmarks.
The Holiday Harbor Lights Cruise takes guests on a memorable half-island tour, featuring close-up views of the Statue of Liberty and passing landmarks such as the Freedom Tower and Ellis Island. As the boat glides under the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, passengers will witness the illuminated Manhattan skyline, from the towering Chrysler Building to the bright lights of Times Square. This magical nighttime cruise offers both indoor and outdoor decks, providing the perfect vantage points for families, friends, and couples to soak in the city’s holiday glow.
Adding to the festivities this year, the cruise features a “Create-Your-Own Santa Hat” station, where guests can design their own personalized Santa hats to wear onboard. To commemorate the return of this beloved holiday tradition, Circle Line will also offer two exclusive ornament giveaways to Holiday Harbor Lights ticket holders—one on opening day (November 29) and another on Christmas Eve. These free ornaments, available while supplies last, allow guests to bring a little piece of New York City’s holiday spirit back home.
“It’s time to welcome guests back onboard for a truly magical holiday experience,” said Craig Kanarick, CEO of New York Cruise Lines. “The Holiday Harbor Lights Cruise is a cherished tradition for us, with the boat beautifully adorned in festive lights and décor. Seeing the joy on our guests’ faces when they experience this holiday journey is incredibly heartwarming. We’re excited to offer locals and tourists a unique opportunity to embrace the holiday season from the Hudson River, where New York City shines brightest.”
