The Oratorio Society of Queens will perform selections from Handel’s Messiah, as well as Christmas carols, Chanukah melodies and international holiday songs on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Queensborough Performing Arts Center, in Bayside, New York.

Long a hallmark of the vibrant arts community in Queens, the Oratorio Society of Queens will perform with its 100+ member chorus under the direction of Dr. Jin Byun and features soloists Inyoung Lee, soprano, and Nicholas Provenzale, baritone.

The first half of the program spotlights excerpts of Handel’s iconic Messiah. The second half features Christmas carols including Angels We Have Heard on High and The First Noel; spirited Chanukah favorites Mi Y’maleil and Ma’oz Tsur; Puerto Rican classic Feliz Navidad; and beloved Korean folk song Arirang, among others. 

This enchanting afternoon of heartwarming holiday tunes and festive celebration promises to be a memorable event for the whole family.

The Oratorio Society of Queens returns to QPAC after a lengthy hiatus, during which time the venue has been extensively renovated. Queensborough Performing Arts Center is located at 222-05 56th Ave, Bayside, New York.
