NYCxDESIGN Festival 2025: Celebrating Innovation, Community, and Creativity Across New York

The NYCxDESIGN Festival returns May 15–21, 2025, bringing a week-long celebration of design, innovation, and culture to all five boroughs of New York City. With the unifying theme “Design is for Everyone,” this year’s festival will feature more than 280 events, including exhibitions, keynote talks, studio tours, and district-wide celebrations, showcasing the boundless creativity that defines NYC’s global design community.

Festival highlights include the Design Pavilion at Hudson Yards presented with Lexus, the NYCxDESIGN xSouvenir Exhibition curated by Cool Hunting and Boym Partners, and a series of NYCxDESIGN Keynotes hosted by brands like Coca-Cola, IBM, and Life Time, exploring the intersections of design, technology, photography, and wellness. Major events like the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) and WANTED at the Javits Center will also return, alongside neighborhood spotlights across SoHo, Dumbo, Harlem, NoMad, Atlantic Avenue, and Madison Avenue, bringing local showrooms, galleries, and businesses to life.

The 2025 edition also emphasizes education, featuring student exhibitions from Cornell Tech, Pratt Institute, Parsons School of Design, SVA, FIT, and NYIT, as well as a guided tour program for high school students. International collaborations with Italy’s INTERNI and France’s Villa Albertine will enrich the global dialogue on design innovation.
