The American Dance Guild (ADG), led by President Anabella Lenzu, proudly announces Modern Dance Week, a five-day series of masterclasses and creative workshops running from June 9 through June 13, 2025 at New York City’s Peridance Center.
Organized by Lenzu, the program features a distinguished roster of 10 acclaimed teachers offering instruction in modern dance composition, improvisation, and the techniques and repertory of legendary choreographers such as Anna Sokolow, José Limón, Erick Hawkins, Nai-Ni Chen, and Eleo Pomare. Students will explore a broad range of historic and contemporary practices, all grounded in modern dance tradition.
Each day of the intensive includes two 90-minute classes, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with offerings designed for dancers eager to deepen their understanding of modern technique, artistic process, and cultural lineage. Whether interested in composition, performance, or improvisational exploration, participants will benefit from direct access to artists who have lived and embodied these traditions.
