2023 Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular

Taking place along the East River around the midtown area of Manhattan

There are several official public viewing spots for the 4th of July fireworks in NYC. In Manhattan, you can watch the fireworks from 1st Avenue and East 42nd Street, 1st Avenue and East 34th Street, or 1st Avenue and East 20th Street. In Queens, you can watch the fireworks from Gantry Plaza State Park. And in Brooklyn, you can watch the fireworks from Newtown Barge Park, Transmitter Park, or Marsha P. Johnson State Park.

Please note that the following locations are not recommended for public viewing: Bushwick Inlet Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Grand Ferry Park, Domino Park, Queens Hunter’s Point South Park, Roosevelt Island, or the East 34th Street Ferry Landing. These locations may have obstructed views of the fireworks.

2016 Fireworks. A year when our point was proven loud and clear. You can’t always trust that which the organizers say will happen. There was supposed to be more than one measly barge in Lower Manhattan. Yet, this is what we ended up with. Not the first time they pulled one like this.
