The New York Korean Association, representing the Korean community in New York, will host the Korean Parade and Festival in Manhattan on October 5th. This event aims to showcase Korean culture to a broader audience and will take place near 32nd Street. The festival will include a variety of programs, such as an official ceremony featuring prominent figures, traditional Korean performances, and a bibimbap preparation event for 500 participants, alongside K-Pop acts and a singing contest. Attendees can also enjoy diverse food options and visit promotional booths set up by various organizations. This year, the festival will feature performances by idol singers from Korea, adding to the event’s excitement.
Since its inception in 1980, the Korean Parade and Festival has grown to become the largest event for the Korean community in New York and is recognized as one of the city’s major parades. The parade route runs along the Avenue of the Americas, from 5th Street to 6th Street, showcasing colorful floats, marching bands, and local community groups.
