The Intrepid Museum will once again serve as the heart of Fleet Week in New York City, welcoming visitors for a four-day celebration honoring the U.S. Armed Forces. From May 23 to May 26, the Museum and its Pier 86 campus will host a packed lineup of interactive displays, live performances, hands-on military experiences, author talks, and special ceremonies in recognition of those who serve. Now in its 37th year, Fleet Week is one of NYC’s most anticipated traditions—a chance for civilians to connect with military personnel, explore historic and modern service vehicles, and pay tribute to American service and sacrifice.
Kicking off with a free outdoor movie night on the Intrepid’s flight deck, the weekend continues with vibrant musical acts, spirited military competitions, meet-and-greets with former crew members, and educational demonstrations from various military branches. Programming spans all ages, combining entertainment with remembrance and a unique behind-the-scenes look at U.S. military life. A solemn Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday caps the celebration with a wreath-laying and flyover to honor fallen heroes. This year’s programming is proudly supported by USAA and buildsubmarines.com.
