Hudson River Music Festival Returns to Croton Point Park
Saturday, June 14, 2025
Croton Point Park, Croton-On-Hudson, NY
A Day of Music, Community, and Environmental Celebration Inspired by Pete & Toshi Seeger
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Riverfest FPS (For Pete’s Sake), Dayglo Presents, and the Harper House Music Foundation will present the Hudson River Music Festival, a family-friendly celebration of music, environmental activism, and community at Croton Point Park.
Inspired by the legendary folk picnics once organized by Pete and Toshi Seeger, the event brings together a powerful lineup of musicians and community programming to honor that legacy and carry it into the present. Musical performances will include Grahame Lesh & Friends featuring Oteil Burbridge, Rick Mitarotonda, Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith, Rob Barraco, and Jennifer Hartswick; as well as Lucius, Madison Cunningham, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Steve Earle & Friends, and Jorma Kaukonen.
The day will also feature immersive experiences such as the Earthball, the Boat Flotilla along the Hudson River, and the reflective and welcoming space known as Pete & Toshi’s Grove. Family-focused programming includes performances from the Arm of the Sea Puppet Show and The Rock and Roll Playhouse, as well as creative activities like boat-building workshops and interactive storytelling. ASL interpreters will be available for all performances.
In addition to its musical and cultural offerings, the festival places a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship. With a stated commitment to a Zero Waste future, organizers are encouraging attendees to reduce their environmental impact while enjoying a greener, more conscious festival experience.
The Hudson River Music Festival is co-organized by Mitzi Elkes, Hal Cohen, and Roy Volpe of Riverfest FPS, who have long envisioned the revival of a community-centered gathering at Croton Point Park that embraces the Seegers’ values of activism through music. Peter Shapiro of Dayglo Presents emphasized the importance of building on the site’s rich legacy while also creating something fresh and relevant for today’s world. Steve Sullens of the Harper House Music Foundation noted the deep alignment between the foundation’s mission and the spirit of the Seegers’ work, describing the collaboration as a “labor of love.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 25 and include General Admission and VIP options. For ticket purchases, transportation info, and additional details, visit www.hudsonrivermusicfestival.com.
