This fall, The Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn will transform into a mystical landscape for Nightfall: Time Flies, a captivating nighttime event on Thursday, October 17th and Friday, October 18th from 7pm to 10pm. Under the glow of the full moon, visitors will be immersed in an unforgettable journey along illuminated pathways, featuring live performances, storytelling, music, circus acts, and film screenings. Collaborating with creative partners like Death of Classical, Rooftop Films, and the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, Green-Wood offers an ethereal blend of artistry and the natural beauty of the cemetery.

Each evening will unfold across dozens of stages set against Green-Wood’s historic landscape, showcasing a variety of performances curated to evoke reflection on the themes of life, death, and time. Haunting tales from Morbid Anatomy and spellbinding performances from the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus will enthrall audiences as they navigate the illuminated grounds. “There’s something profoundly magical about Green-Wood at night,” said Harry J. Weil, vice president of education and public programs. “The Cemetery becomes a canvas for artistic expression, inviting visitors to reflect on the passage of time while being enveloped in the beauty of the evening.”

Nightfall: Time Flies is exclusively for guests 21 and over, with tickets priced at $80 ($75 for Green-Wood members). Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and bring flashlights to navigate the dark, uneven terrain. The event promises to be an enchanting experience, celebrating the magic of Green-Wood after dark with performances that will linger in memory long after the night ends.
