Saturday, May 17, 2025, 8:00 pm
(Dance lessons at 7:00 pm)
Flushing Town Hall
137-35 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY
Experience a thrilling evening of cross-cultural music as Flushing Town Hall presents Global Mashup: Middle Eastern Rock Meets Western Swing. The night kicks off with dance lessons, followed by performances from two powerhouse artists: Mehrnam Rastegari, an acclaimed Persian musician who fuses classical Persian music with modern rock, and Queen Esther, a genre-defying Americana vocalist rooted in Black Southern traditions.
After individual sets, the two artists and their bands will come together for an electrifying collaborative “mashup” performance, weaving together sounds of the Middle East, Western swing, jazz, folk, and blues into an unforgettable celebration of identity and innovation.
General admission tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and students (with ID), and $18 for members. The event takes place at Flushing Town Hall Theater.
