Fleet Week New York 2025 Returns with Ships, Tours, and Celebrations Honoring 250 Years of Sea Service
May 21 – 27, 2025
Fleet Week New York sails back into the city from May 21–27, 2025, offering residents and visitors a chance to experience one of the U.S. Navy’s most celebrated annual traditions. Marking its return with the theme “Honoring the Past, Defending the Future: 250 Years of Sea Service Excellence,” this year’s festivities not only commemorate historic milestones of the Navy and Marine Corps but also provide the public rare access to some of America’s most impressive naval vessels, alongside appearances from allied forces.
The week kicks off with the iconic Parade of Ships on May 21, featuring vessels from the United States and Royal Canadian Navy sailing along the Hudson River in a stirring show of strength and partnership. Ships participating this year include the USS New York (LPD 21), USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), USCGC Calhoun (WMSL 759), USCGC Sturgeon Bay (WTGB 109), Canada’s HMCS Frédérick Rolette (AOPV 434), and five U.S. Naval Academy Yard Patrol boats (YPs).

This citywide celebration gives New Yorkers and visitors alike the chance to meet service members, explore naval history and technology, and enjoy one of the city’s most time-honored patriotic events.
As Rear Adm. Carl Lahti, Commander of Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, noted, Fleet Week is more than just ships and ceremonies — it’s a celebration of the people and stories behind the uniforms. This year, as the Navy and Marine Corps celebrate 250 years of service, Fleet Week New York offers a chance to honor the past while looking ahead to the future of America’s sea services.
Please Note: Additional events and demonstrations will take place throughout the week. A full event schedule will be shared once available.
