Celebrate Puerto Rican Heritage at the NPRDP 152nd Street Cultural Festival
Saturday, May 31, 2025
152nd Street, between Jackson and Tinton Avenues
The vibrant heart of the Bronx will come alive on Saturday, May 31, 2025, as the National Puerto Rican Day Parade (NPRDP) presents the beloved 152nd Street Cultural Festival. This free, family-friendly event runs from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on 152nd Street, between Jackson and Tinton Avenues, in one of New York City’s most culturally rich neighborhoods—affectionately known as “El Condado de la Salsa.”
A tradition since 1995, the 152nd Street Cultural Festival is the official kickoff to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade festivities. It’s more than an event—it’s a full-day celebration of Puerto Rican pride, culture, and community. With live musical performances, dance, celebrity appearances, and a Children’s Pavilion featuring storytelling, face painting, and arts and crafts, the festival offers something for everyone.
Crowds are expected to line the street, waving Puerto Rican flags and enjoying comida típica (traditional Puerto Rican food) from local and corporate vendors. Artisan kiosks will showcase handcrafted goods and artwork, while organizations will offer giveaways and community resources. It’s a festival of flavors, sounds, and sights that capture the spirit of Puerto Rico.
This year’s theme, “Plantando Bandera” (Planting the Flag), underscores the pride and resilience of the Puerto Rican community. Backed by sponsors including JetBlue, Lyft, Goya, ABC 7, and Manhattan Beer & Beverage, this daylong block party promises a joyous and unforgettable experience.
Come for the culture—stay for the celebration!
