Midori & Friends presents Celebrate! Music & Dance of the Americas, a concert featuring music and culture from North, South and Central America. The event will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Rockaway Beach Amphitheater in Queens, NY.

The concert will showcase the talents of Yasser Tejeda, a Dominican guitarist, vocalist and composer who blends African-rooted folk music with jazz, rock and Caribbean rhythm. It will also feature La Manga, a collective of women artists who honor Black and Indigenous oral traditions and explore the musical diaspora of Colombia, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

The concert will also include performances from Midori & Friends students who participate in the NEXTGen Teen Musicians and Play to Learn chorus programs. Head over and join them for a fun-filled afternoon of singing, dancing and celebrating the diversity of the Americas!
