If you love street fairs, you won’t want to miss the Calhoun Carnival. It’s the biggest and best event on the Upper West Side, and it happens every year on the first Saturday in May. You can enjoy games, music, craft activities, and the first barbecue of the season. There’s something for everyone in the family!

The Calhoun Carnival is more than just a fun day out. It’s also a way to support the school community. The Parents Association started the carnival in 1963, and since then it has become a cherished Calhoun tradition. The money raised from the event goes to the Annual Tea and anniversary awards for faculty and staff, as well as other Parents Association initiatives such as guest speakers, school picnics and more.
