El Museo del Barrio Celebrates 47th Annual Three Kings Day Parade and Celebration

El Museo del Barrio proudly presents the 47th Annual Three Kings Day Parade and Celebration on Monday, January 6, 2025, honoring the theme “The Arts Open Paths” (El Arte Abriendo Caminos). The event highlights the power of Latinx, Caribbean, and Latin American art to bridge cultures and inspire communities. The day begins with a special Kick-Off Breakfast hosted by Rhina Valentin in El Museo’s El Café from 8:30 to 10:30 AM, featuring remarks from elected officials, networking opportunities with sponsors and community leaders, and recognition of esteemed honorees. Doors open at 8:00 AM, with the program starting promptly at 9:00 AM.
Following the breakfast, the iconic Three Kings Day Parade will march through East Harlem, starting at 106th Street and Lexington Avenue and ending at 115th Street and Park Avenue. The festivities continue back at El Museo with a Post-Parade Celebration from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, featuring a live performance by Fabiola Méndez, an acclaimed Puerto Rican cuatrista, singer, and Emmy-nominated composer. Her vibrant fusion of folk, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean sounds will showcase the rich musical heritage of Puerto Rico. Don’t miss this joyous celebration of art, culture, and community!

Three Kings Day, also known as the Epiphany, commemorates the biblical story of the three wise men who followed a star to visit the baby Jesus. The celebration is deeply rooted in Latin American culture and is observed with joy and festivity.
