The third annual Debt Gala returns as New York City’s bold, inclusive answer to the Met Gala—turning high fashion into high impact. This year’s theme, “Let Them Eat Cake: Ruined Riches,” invites attendees to channel lavish, opulent style—then tear it down. Think frayed velvet, stained silks, broken jewels—glamour distressed in protest.

More than a party, the event raises funds for Undue Medical Debt and For the Gworls, helping to eliminate millions in crushing medical debt and fund life-saving healthcare for Black trans individuals. Since its debut, the Gala has already relieved over $2.5 million in debt.

The evening features a powerful lineup curated by STAGE TIME, including comedian Joyelle Nicole Johnson, drag artist Summer Reign, magician Nicole Cardoza, the L Train Brass Band, and many more NYC nightlife stars. With fashion, fundraising, and resistance in equal measure, The Debt Gala is part protest, part performance, and fully unforgettable.
