March for Progress, Celebrate Community: Queens Pride Parade & Festival

Sunday, June 2
Beginning at 12:00 pm

37th Avenue from 89th Street to 75th Street

Festival to Follow

The New Queens Pride Parade and Multicultural Festival is a celebration of the LGBTQ community in Queens, the most ethnically diverse urban area in the world. It was founded in 1993 by Daniel Dromm and Maritza Martinez to honor the memory of Julio Rivera, who was killed for being gay in Jackson Heights. The parade is the second oldest and second largest pride parade in New York City, and it takes place annually on the first Sunday in June on 37th Avenue.

Join the vibrant Queens Pride Parade on Sunday, June 2nd at noon! The parade kicks off on 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights, marching from 89th Street to 75th Street, followed by a lively multicultural festival. Since 1993, Queens Pride has celebrated the LGBTQ+ community and fostered acceptance for all. This year, witness the grand marshal, New York State Senator Leroy Comrie, leading the parade in a display of pride and solidarity.

Following the parade, head to the heart of Jackson Heights for the festival, located at the intersection of 37th Road and 75th Street. From 11am to 6pm, immerse yourself in a vibrant celebration featuring food, music, and entertainment – a perfect way to experience the rich diversity of Queens!
