Global Citizen Festival Returns on September 23 to Drive Critical Efforts to End Extreme Poverty NOW: For Equity, For The Planet, For Food and For Jobs

The Global Citizen Festival is back in New York City on September 23, 2023. This free event will feature amazing performances by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, Conan Gray and Stray Kids. The goal is to end extreme poverty by 2030 and tackle the biggest challenges facing the world today.

The festival will call on world leaders to take action on issues such as gender equality, climate change, and hunger. Millions of people can join the movement and earn tickets by taking action on the Global Citizen app or website. The festival will coincide with the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where leaders will gather to discuss global solutions.

Some of the specific actions that the festival will demand are: more funding for sexual and reproductive health services, quality education for children in crisis, climate finance for vulnerable countries, and food security for millions of people facing hunger. The festival will also urge businesses to commit to zero emissions and invest in sustainable development. Together, we can make a difference and end extreme poverty.

You can earn a pair of tickets to Global Citizen Festival by taking action on the Global Citizen app or the Global Citizen website to help end extreme poverty now. With each action you take, you earn points to go towards your entries into the draw for Festival tickets. 

There will be five separate draws for Festival tickets, and you can find each draw on our app. Each entry into a ticket draw will cost a total of 60 points, and you can enter each draw multiple times. If you don’t win in the first draw — don’t worry, you can keep trying and enter each draw as many times as you like! 

The five time periods you can enter the draws are: 

• July  11 — July 31 
• Aug. 1 — Aug. 14
• Aug. 15 – Aug. 28
• Aug. 29 — Sept. 11
• Sept. 12 — Sept. 19
