Pier 1 at Brooklyn Bridge Park

That’s right! The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is bringing back that outdoor series of film screenings this year. With the Manhattan Skyline as a backdrop what could be better?

This widely anticipated set of outdoor enjoyment evenings has been going on for well over two decades and it’ll take place on the Pier 1 promenade. Plenty of vendors will be around with Beer and Wine on the menu as well.

Before the films begin, there’ll be DJ spun music courtesy of Brooklyn Radio and short films by local filmmakers and selected by  BAM Film.

Here’s the Brooklyn Bridge Screening Schedule:

Thursday, July 7:
Before Sunrise (R, 105 minutes)

Thursday, July 14:
The Bourne Identity (PG-13, 119 minutes)

Thursday, July 21:
Crazy Rich Asians (PG-13, 121 minutes)

Thursday, July 28:
How Stella Got Her Groove Back (R, 124 minutes)

Thursday, August 4:
Jurassic Park (PG-13, 127 minutes)

Thursday, August 11:
Thelma and Louise (R, 130 minutes)

Thursday, August 18:
The Mitchells vs. the Machines (PG, 114 minutes, Family Film)

Thursday, August 25:
Public Choice with options of: Back to the Future [PG], Mamma Mia! [PG-13], or Mission Impossible [PG])

Guests can bring their own picnic or enjoy food and drink curated by Smorgasburg, opening at 5:00pm along the Pier 1 Promenade. Vendors include Dylana’s Sweet Treats (Brooklyn local artisanal cakes, puddings and ice cream combos), Mao’s Bao (sheng jian bao – pan-fried & steamed buns), Burger Supreme Burger (smashburgers), Toastieland (Australian bakehouse and grilled cheese), Petisco Brazuca (Brazilian coxinha and empanadas) and Smorgasburg Bar offering local beer and wine on tap.

Doors for the lawn open at 6:00pm, with entrances at the top of Harbor View Lawn and along Pier 1 Promenade, and the movie begins at sundown. Ahead of the film, guests can enjoy a DJ spinning music courtesy of Brooklyn Radio and sunset over the river. Film shots shown before each features and selected by BAM Film, includes Shots in the Dark with David Godlis (July 7), Green Life (July 14), Choir (July 21), Everything Must Go (July 28), Dead Meat (August 4), Bug Farm (August 11), Crush (August 18) and We Call Him Super (August 25).

The event is finished.
