The 11th annual SR Socially Relevant Film Festival NY is a hybrid film festival that runs from March 13-18 at Cinema Village, The Maysles Documentary Center, MRHS, and the National Arts Club for its red-carpet Jury and Honor Awards Ceremony.

Live interviews with the filmmakers are broadcast on the festival’s YouTube Channel leading up to the festival. SRFF offers a wide selection of narrative features, documentaries, short films, music videos, and web episodes, as well as a script-writing competition. All films in the selection deal with important social issues and are followed by Q&A sessions with the filmmakers.

An education component includes panels and workshops with industry guests. SR Socially Relevant Film Festival NY shines the spotlight on BIPOC, LGBTQI, and women films with the 2024 lineup representing over 50% women and BIPOC filmmakers.

To date, the festival has screened over 700 films from 40 countries.
