NY Governor Cuomo Announces that the State had reached a new record number of administered COVID-19 tests in a single day.

On October 16, 2020, 159,972 COVID-19 test results were reported to the state – surpassing the last two records of 146 thousand on October 7 and 134 thousand on October 2.

“We also hit a record number of tests: 160,000 tests, which is the highest level of tests we’ve ever done. When you’re doing that level of tests, think about that, 160,000 tests in one day,” said the Governor this morning.

Since September 30, daily numbers have been over 100,000 for 13 of the past 17 days as can be seen in the chart below.
