New York’s Infection Rate Reaches Low of 0.66 percent

During his press conference today, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the infection rate is now at 0.66 percent.

For nearly two and a half weeks, the Governor has proudly proclaimed that the COVID-19 Positive Result rate for diagnostic tests was under one percent. With every day’s announcement there came more and more milestones reached by the state’s population.

“And it’s not just that the .66 as one day is great news. It’s consistent with what we have been seeing all along. If you’ve been looking at our infection rate over the past couple of weeks, it has been below 1 percent,” said the Governor.

“Congratulations to the people of New York. It wasn’t rocket science, just took the nation a long time to understand it. we’re dealing with a virus. It’s a question of science, not politics. You can manage a virus but you have to understand what you’re dealing with. It’s a virus. It’s a function of medicine and science and biology and you have to treat it that way.”
