“It is a great honor to partner with the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard for Fleet Week at Liberty State Park this year,” said Elvi Guzman, President of City Challenge Obstacle Race. “We’re confident that adding these new activities will help attract more families, both military and civilian, while promoting health and fitness in our community. Fleet Week is an amazing opportunity for everyone to come out and support those who serve our country, and get to know more about the sea services.”

The organization offers a special discount code for reduced registration fees for retired and active duty military, simply use code “HERO” when registering.  (Note: Those who register with this code will be required to show valid military ID when picking up their race packet).

In addition to the race components, the day will be filled with activities including Navy and Marine Corps helicopter landings (noon), with a Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) fast rope demonstration; various military static displays and vehicles; a Navy Dive Tank with tic-tac-toe game challenges and Navy diver gear; EOD robotics; Marine Corps Martial Arts Program demonstrations and pull-up challenge; a Coast Guard Search and Rescue demonstration (12:30 pm); area food trucks; kids activities with bounce houses and face painting; as well as performances by the U.S. Fleet Forces “Brass Band” (12:15 pm); the U.S. Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment and Silent Drill Platoon (2:15 pm); and U.S. Coast Guard Silent Drill Team (1:30 pm & 3:30 pm).
