A fave spot for us to visit which isn’t too far from NYC would be this beach/shore in New Haven Connecticut. The Five Mile Point Light also known as the New Haven Harbor Light has been around since the mid 1800s. Situated in Lighthouse Point Park it’s a wonderful spot to visit.

Here’s a full frontal of the Museum found besides the Fire Island Lighthouse along the seashore in Long Island. Used was an ultra wide angle lens.

Image here is a depiction of the Portland Head Light located within Fort Williams Park at Cape Elizabeth, Maine. In what is second to our other fave lighthouse, Pemaquic Point, this lighthouse is quite the beauty.
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse located in Bristol, Maine has to be one of the most beautifully located landmarks in the entire state. Well, aside from the Portland Head Light which in our opinion is just as beautiful as well. A trip to this location is one to be remembered for years.
Here’s a super wide angle view of the Montauk Point Lighthouse at the most eastern tip Long Island in NYC, NY. There’s quite a bit of history here and the views one gets in this area are so very picturesque.
Here is yet another super wide angle view of the Lighthouse out in Montauk, Long Island, NY as well as the adjoining museum. Did you know that this is the oldest lighthouse in NY State? One is able to climb up to the top but the climb is somewhat grueling on a hot Summer Day.
You can barely see the tip of the Fire Island Lighthouse as yours truly chose to really hilight the Museum Building itself while still sneaking in a hint of the tower behind it. Luckily the sky lent quite a hand in helping to create a striking image which somewhat conveyed a sense of motion.
Such is the path within Long Island, NY. The path that is, leading one to the Fire Island Light House just east of the Robert Moses State Parkway.
The entrance path to the lighthouse is steep. But it’s a joy to be at this part of Long Island in NY. You might note the skies. Actually that’s dense fog which only moments earlier had hidden the entire landmark completely.
