This truss bridge which crosses over Newtown Creek (an estuary along part of the border between the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens) connects Brooklyn’s Greenpoint section with Queens’ Maspeth section.

It opened in 1939 and is part of the I-278 (BQE – Brooklyn Queens Expressway).
