Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum’s Hubble@25 Exhibit Now Open
Temporary Exhibit Celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Launch of NASA’S Hubble Space Telescope
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum has opened HUBBLE@25 a temporary exhibition that commemorates the 25th anniversary of the launch of NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope. The exhibit marks the first major temporary exhibition in the Museum’s Space Shuttle Pavilion, home to the space shuttle Enterprise.
Through Hubble produced images, rarely seen artifacts, tools used in space to repair the telescope, and interactive guests experiences, HUBBLE@25 introduces the public to the history of the telescope and the unparalleled scientific achievements generated by the Hubble program.
The exhibit is co-curated by Eric Boehm, the Museum’s Curator of Aviation, and former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino, who was part of two space flights to service Hubble and was just appointed as the Museum’s Senior Advisor, Space Programs.
The exhibit will be on display through September 14, 2015.
