Learn about the first playground in America to integrate activities for differently-abled and normatively-abled children through fun activities that demonstrate that there is nothing more creative than a playground that recognizes that there is something special in all children.
Join us for the opening reception for the first survey of groundbreaking artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles, undoubtedly best-known for her 38+ year role as the official, unsalaried Artist-in-Residence at New York’s Department of Sanitation. The opening will debut a new performance featuring The Social Mirror, Ukeles’ mirror-clad sanitation truck.
Create a personalized map, join a cardio dance class, and enjoy a performance by Ratas En Zelo, an all female accordion based punk band, all at one event.
Join L.M. Bogad for a practical performance workshop class, emphasizing the creation of original performances based on non-fictional texts. All participants must bring nonfiction texts to work with.

Free Drop-in Family Workshops 1:30-4:30pm
The Queens Museum invites children 5-12 and their adult companions to explore drawing from different sources of inspiration each week. Children with special needs welcome, adaptations available. No fee or advance registration required. Just show up and stay for as long as you like.
