NYC’s Original Holiday Pet Adoption Event
Petco Union Square (17th Street & Broadway) in Manhattan.
Nearly 200 lovable cats, kittens and rabbits will be available for adoption at this festive event hosted by the Alliance for NYC’s Animals
Nearly 200 adorable cats, kittens and rabbits will be available for adoption on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the 7th annual Whiskers in Wonderland. Presented by the Alliance for NYC’s Animals, in partnership with the Petco Foundation, the adoption event will take place at Petco Union Square in Manhattan. Adoption fees vary by adoption group.
Among the shelters and rescue groups scheduled to present animals for adoption at Whiskers in Wonderland are: All About Spay Neuter, Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF), Anjellicle Cats Rescue, ASPCA, Bideawee, Bronx Tails Cat Rescue, City Critters, Inc., Empty Cages Collective, K9Kastle, KittyKind, Linda’s Cat Assistance, NYC Metro Rabbit, Patricia H. Ladew Foundation, Posh Pets Rescue, Rescuzilla, and Zani’s Furry Friends.
And just for dogs: Wahl, Greater Good, and the Animal Rescue Site have teamed up with Bathe to Save to raise money and awareness for animal rescues. “Bubbles, the Hydro Dog,” a mobile doggie spa, will be on hand, offering $20 grooming sessions for dogs, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to support Alliance programs.
Other fun activities will include face painting for children, pet product giveaways and holiday music.
