    Tickets & Admission Fees:

    Advance tickets to Sakura Matsuri can be purchased online. Members and ticket holders skip the lines. Members always enter for free

    The Sakura Matsuri festival is one of the most popular public events of the year at BrooklynBotanic Garden.

    The event is held RAIN or SHINE. Performances and activities will be tented in case of rain.

    Go  early, the festival starts at 10 a.m.

    Become a member or purchase tickets in advance to skip the lines.

    Remember, kids under 12 always get in for free!

    The Garden is easily accessible by public transportation.

    Travel directions and subway and bus information.

    Three entrances will be open on the festival days:

    • 150 Eastern Parkway
    • 990 Washington Avenue
    • Rose Arc Gate

    A menu of Japanese food is offered under the tent in Cherry Esplanade and an American menu is served at the Terrace Cafe, adjacent to the Steinhardt Conservatory. Picnicking is not allowed in the Garden.

    Enjoy sitting on the grass at Cherry Esplanade. Please note that folding chairs and blankets are not permitted.

    To protect their plant collections, some areas of the Garden will be closed during the festival weekend. Please do not pick flowers, walk in the planted beds, or climb trees.
