    Rock/Photography Legends Graham Nash / Mark Seliger Discuss Careers and Friendship;

    VII Photo Photographers Celebrate 15th Anniversary, Share Views on Storytelling and Integrity;

    National Geographic Photographers Establish Global Effort to Protect Oceans and Marine Life

    NEW YORK (September 14, 2016) — Emerald Expositions, Inc. has announced its lineup of featured keynote presentations at this year’s PDN PhotoPlus International Conference + Expo, taking place at the Javits Convention Center in New York City from October 20-22, 2016.  Over the years, the Expo’s daily keynote presentations take center stage and have become the cornerstone of this annual photography event.  This year’s lineup of keynote speakers elevates the phrase “star power” to an entirely new level.  The lunchtime keynote presentations will be held daily during PhotoPlus Expo from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Registration is required and seats to these three, one-of-a-kind events, sell out fast!

    Thursday, October 20, two legends of rock and roll — musician Graham Nash and renowned photographer and musician Mark Seliger – will discuss their careers, mutual love of photography and music, and the intersecting parallels in their careers that forged a lifetime friendship between both superstars. This conversation is sure to bring attendees a unique insight into two iconic legends.

    Friday, October 21, three of VII Photo agency’s photojournalists – Jessica Dimmock, Ron Haviv, and Ashley Gilbertson- will share lessons of integrity and dedication and what it means to be a visual storyteller today in their keynote entitled, “Why we Shoot.”

    Saturday, October 22, Paul Nicklen and Cristina Mittermeier will take attendees on a journey that can only be told through the eyes of a National Geographic photographer as they share their global initiative to protect oceans around the world and its inhabitants.

    Attendees with a conference pass receive entry to the keynote presentation at no additional charge onsite and those holding VIP Expo Passes will receive priority seating.  Attendees with Expo Only passes can purchase tickets to a keynote presentation for $10 in advance or $15.  Anyone interested in attending the Keynote presentations at this year’s PhotoPlus Expo can register online at PhotoPlus 2016 keynote presentations.

    “This year’s lineup of keynote speakers each present an interesting look at life as it really happens,” explains Lauren Wendle, Vice President and Group Publisher of Photo+.  “Graham Nash and Mark Seliger look at how the intersection of music and photography has impacted their careers; photographers from VII share experiences documenting truth and integrity through their photographs; and two National Geographic photographers discuss how their careers and love for the environment helped launch a new foundation to protect our oceans and its inhabitants.  In a world where everything can be manipulated to become whatever we want, our presenters help us rediscover the lost art of truth, in their own way,” Ms. Wendle concluded.

    Thursday, October 20 – 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

    Mark Seliger in Conversation with Graham Nash – Mark Seliger / Graham Nash

Mark Seliger’s career spans 30 years, having photographed some of the biggest names in music, politics, business and entertainment.  His images have graced the covers of Vanity Fair, Rolling Stoneand countless others.
