    About The Program:

For many of us, there is great assuredness and a steadfast friendship with animals. We can learn so much just by watching them live their daily lives.

In this special and poignant concert, Choral Chameleon will explore the spiritual lives of these amazing creatures from the dawn of time in the book of Genesis to the animals delighting us daily in our Facebook feed.

What would happen if we all left the zoo that we call home? The answer lies with our animal friends who share it with us. They’ll still be here.

Central to the program will be a performance of Britten’s theatrical choral wonder, “Rejoice in the Lamb” on the texts of the ahead-of-his-time poet, Christopher Smart. The piece will be accompanied by St Paul’s magnificent organ.

Other program highlights include works by Ivor Davies and Jeffrey Parola.

To round off the experience, Choral Chameleon’s talented singers will attempt a new approach to choral performance by taking your favorite animal videos from the Internet and creating devised choral soundtracks for them from start to finish via an improvised rehearsal process.
