Annual Celebration

Will Turn On The Lights Along Fulton Mall And Surrounding Areas

Thursday, November 20

5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Albee Square, Fulton St. + Bond Street, Downtown Brooklyn

Annual holiday lighting ceremony of 30-foot Christmas tree, menorah, and main retail corridors in Downtown Brooklyn will feature performances by steel drum band, JahPan, and free hot chocolate provided by Junior’s. Remarks from Downtown Brooklyn Partnership President Tucker Reed and other elected officials.

Downtown Brooklyn’s innovative holiday lighting display includes a unique design featuring 500 fabricated steel shapes paired to make 35-foot-wide overhead skylines on Fulton and Livingston Streets; 5×5-foot-high 3D boxes along Flatbush Avenue; and light pole adornments throughout the district. The displays comprise 480,000 linear feet of rope light (equivalent to 90 miles, or roughly the distance from here to Poughkeepsie) and 260,000 mini-lights.
