As part of the Hermione’s Voyage from Virginia to Nova Scotia there’ll be the local celebration of its existence and history from July 1 to July 4.

Wednesday, July 1

  • 10:00 – 12:00 pm
    Welcome Ceremony at South Street Seaport’s Pier 15.
  • 11:00 am
    New York Historical Society – Teen Curated Lafayette/Hermione Exhibit at Governor’s Island.
  • 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
    Public Access to the Traveling Exhibit and the Heritage Village at the Seaport’s Pier 15.

Thursday, July 2

  • 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
    Public tours of the Hermione. First come, first served.
    Priority access given to school groups during the first tour.
  • 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
    Public Access to the Traveling Exhibit and the Heritage Village at the Seaport’s Pier 15.
  • 8:00 pm
    “Break à Mozart”
    Rumsey Playfield within Central Park found along the 72nd Street Traverse.
    A dance and music show performed by the Orchestra des Champs Elysées and the National Choreographic Center of La Rochelle. It combines hip hop dance and music of Mozart.

Friday, July 3

  • 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
    Public tours of the Hermione. First come, first served.
    Priority access given to school groups during the first tour.
  • 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
    Public Access to the Traveling Exhibit and the Heritage Village at the Seaport’s Pier 15.
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 pm
    Flag raising ceremony at Bowling Green found at the lowest/southern-most tip of Manhattan.
  • 8:30 pm
    “Les Demoiselles de Rochefort”
    Les demoiselles de Rochefort (The young girls of Rochefort) directed by Jacques Demy with Catherine Deneuve and Gene Kelly, musical film…
    At Castle Clinton Plaza within Battery Park at the southern-most tip of Manhattan.
  • 8:00 – 10:00 pm
    An evening aboard the Hermione.
