The Cathedral of St. John the Divine hosts its annual Halloween Extravaganza and Procession of the Ghouls All Hallows Eve celebration on Friday, October 31 at 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, located at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan.

Brave souls can enjoy a screening of the silent classic film The Phantom of the Opera (1925) accompanied by live organ music.  Immediately following each screening, guests can expect ghostly mischief and ghoulish tricks as the Cathedral is taken over by fantastical creatures of the night during the Procession of the Ghouls.  The ghosts and ghouls, created by Cathedral Artist-in-Residence Ralph Lee and embodied by the Mettawee River Theatre Company, will make their way down the entire length of the nave, bumping and jumping, their way down a path, for the first time underneath the fierce and majestic Phoenix. Seats closest to the action are for the bravest of heart, who may find themselves confronted with the beaked nose of a demon, the mossy nails of a witch, or the flushed cheeks of a ghost at this frighteningly fun event!

Tickets are available for $25.  To reserve tickets for the 7:00 PM showing, please visit this page. To purchase tickets for the 10:00 PM showing, please visit this page.
