Join Riverside Park’s effort to build NYC’s first carbon-neutral, composting, solar-powered public restroom and to transform an abandoned parking lot into new park land.

Who wants to join them? Kids! Adults! Anyone interested in being green, recycling, sustainability, composting, parks, greenways and the future.

What are we doing? A walkathon to raise funds and awareness for the Green Outlook, NYC’s first composting, solar-powered public restroom, along the Hudson River Greenway.

When? Saturday, October 26. 10 am: Registration, T-shirts.

     10:30 am: Walk!

How? Easy! Sign up online HERE

How much? Suggested participation fee: $20 per individual (includes a GO t-shirt/ticket to post-event carnival); $40 for a family (includes 3 GO t-shirts)

Where? Route begins and ends at the future site of Green Outlook in RiversidePark, along the Hudson River Greenway, south of the 96th Street Red Clay Tennis courts near 95th Street. Two routes will be available, a 2K and a 5K.

    Post Walkathon Party

Following the walkathon, from 12N to 2pm, there will be tennis carnival at the 96th Street Red Clay Tennis Courts for kids under 10 years of age, with live music featuring performers from the Dirty Sock Funtime Band and a giant dish of Paul Vella’s Paella.
Your GO T-shirt will be your ticket to these events!
