Join them for an in-depth look at the phenomenon of gentrification, as seen through changes in the largest Puerto Rican neighborhood in the United States: East Harlem. After the film, the floor will be opened for discussion. Hosted by Ed Garcia, the founder of Welcome2theBronx.com, and Andrew J. Padilla, Director of El Barrio Tours: Gentrification in East Harlem. Panel members will include: Susana Blankley, Director of Housing Organizing at New Settlement Apartments Community Action for Safe Apartments (CASA), Ryan Singer, Deputy Director of the Bronx Office of City Planning, Edwin Pagan, member of Seis dels Sur, and Carlos Rivera of Picture the Homeless.
