One of the most exciting and innovative jazz programs in the country, Juilliard Jazz Studies combines education in the history and tradition of jazz with unparalleled professional performance opportunities. The program educates, encourages and empowers students to succeed in today’s world of music. The faculty is comprised of distinguished educators and musicians who challenge the students to be equally skilled as improvisers, band leaders, sidemen, and educators.
The Juilliard Jazz Orchestra and Juilliard Jazz Ensembles perform regularly at the Juilliard School and at the world-renowned Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola and The Blue Note in New York City, often featuring legendary guest artists such as Herbie Hancock, Branford Marsalis, and Terence Blanchard among others.
