After the tour children will learn how to create their own 19th century newspaper by using antique paper and quill pens, similar to the ones created by Alexander Hamilton, originator of The New York Post.
Tickets are $8 per person, to cover the cost of supplies. Space is limited so advanced registration is required. Call 212 923 8008 to make a reservation.
Lecture: “Hamilton The Little Lion”
Can Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr make peace for one day? Historian and tour operator Jimmy Napoli will present his talk entitled “Alexander Hamilton: The Little Lion” which will focus on America’s most under-rated founder. Napoli will discuss Hamilton’s life, work and often scandalous history as George Washington’s genius protégé. From his humble beginning in the West Indies to his shocking death in New Jersey, no person in American history has ever had a greater influence on our national character without reaching the presidency.
FREE but advanced registration is required. Call 212 923 8008.
New Vintage Baroque Concert
Featuring music by Handel, Bernier, Lully, and a new piece by Doug Balliett, this performance will create a truly “contemporary meets colonial” experience for guests. Utilizing music Hamilton would have been familiar with, but placing it in a modern context for our visitors.
Tickets are $20 per person, space is limited so pre-paid advanced registration is required. Call 212 923 8008 to make a reservation.
