Council District 13 Residents Will Not Go Hungry This Thanksgiving, Despite Rising Food Prices

District Office of Councilman Mark Gjonaj
1478 Williamsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10461

On Monday, November 22nd, Councilman Mark Gjonaj, through NYC Council funding to Catholic Charities, will be distributing over 3,000 free Thanksgiving turkeys to families in need from his district office in the Bronx (District 13). Inflation has spiked food prices and devalued the wallets of New Yorkers, with some estimating this will be the most expensive Thanksgiving dinner in history. As the final months of his tenure in office approach, he continues an annual tradition of ensuring no district residents go without the centerpiece of their Thanksgiving meal, with this year’s looking to be the largest giveaway ever.
