NY Apple Picking (& Pick Your Own) – Beyond New York City

One of the many enjoyable features of the turning seasons are the ripened crops of items to be picked at farms near and far. New Yorkled had the pleasure a few times of picking apples at one particular farm in Connecticut. ‘BUT you don’t have to go that far to enjoy the thrill of ‘picking your own’. Keep in mind that some of these spots will begin the season in mid August whereas other will begin at and around Labor Day. Thus, it’s in your best interest to contact these places or visit their websites to learn more.

Below are a number of spots in the NY State area and beyond. So, hope one and all have the opportunity of getting out there and enjoying Autumn the way it was meant to be enjoyed! Note that some of these spots will offer all sorts of family fun activities from pony rides, hay rides and tours to petting zoos and other items. Of course what’s available and the days they’re to begin will vary with each individual spot.
