Bayonne Bridge
The Bayonne Bridge which crosses over the Kill Van Kull (a strait separating Staten Island from New Jersey) connects the borough of Staten Island with the state of New Jersey.
It opened on November 15, 1931 at which time it was the longest steel arch bridge in the world. Today at the time of this writing the bridge ranks at number five.
